This week the media as a whole gets a resounding F regarding the whole IRS "Scandal". COME ON! People are acting as if the IRS has been targeting these Tea Party Groups for audits, massive fines and penalties. COME ON!
Do your homework guys. If ANYBODY applies to have a tax-free status they have to fill out documents to prove that they meet the guidelines. If you have a VERY high profile group that has been everything that a 501c group is NOT supposted to be, it is wrong to NOT question and have them to provide more proof than other groups that do not make a huge splash for this sort of divergent operations.
That IS what we pay the IRS to do. The Tea Party has been a high profile POLITICAL ACTION GROUP that has funded a lot of political commercials and has run memebers of their group for office. If a LIBERAL group did NOT get extra scrutiny they would raise holy hell with the Obama Administration and they would be right. In order to understand how far off they are when they are trying to call themselves a 501 non-profit group, let's look at the qualoiofications of this sort of group.
A 501c has very strict rules for how these donations can be used: It can not be used by an ACTION ORGANIZATION. The Tea Party is an action organization.It can not be used to influence legislation. All Tea Party rallies and forums are about influencing legislation. Everybody KNOWS that the whole POINT of the Tea Party was to kill the healthcare bill. It was a means of orgaanized response to kill this bill.
NOW they are trying to say they are not a PAC and that they are being targeted because they are conservative? Me thinks they doth protesteth too much. Fhe FOURTH Estate, the one the First Amendment put in charge of holding the persepective in the relm of truth? I have heard louder crickets. It looks like the Press will need a make up course in Summer School.

COME ON! Have these idiots never seen a man's package before?
This week's media report card scored a resounding F-MINUS! Some idiot hacks into Senator Anthony Weiner's Twitter account with a close up of a fully clothed man's
penis and you would swear that they had seen photos of a mass murderer in the act!
COME ON! Grow up, or to quote Cher in Moonstruck..."SNAP OUTTA IT"! If he DID send it to this young lady, she was twenty one years old, NOT a minor. If this WAS the case, as a married man, he would be a skank but NOT a pedophile.
To hear the mainstream media, he is guilty with out any proof of any malfeasance. I guess they think that they are a replacement of judge, jury and prisons. What idiots. They make Sarah Palin almost believable.....ALMOST!

When is the Fourth Estate going to STOP following EXTREME idiots?
One of the first lessons that I learned as a high school debater was
the importance of quoting a reliable resource with proper references
to validate the information and properly credit it's author. In the
past decades we have seen the rise of Fox News, a channel owned by
News Corp, the company owned by Rupert Murdoch a former Australia famous for his tabloids like The Globe and New York Post.
A viewer to this network now views a "Brave NEW World" of news
commentators who have taken the place of the reliable journalists.
A setting where their comments are annotated with "Some people say" without
a word of WHO these people are or if they are really the voice of authority
that the "commentator" appears to intimate with their smug pronouncements.
I catch myself scoffing and basically denouncing anything that they say as insignificant. I only wish that the other more reliable sources like CNN would do the same.
We recently saw people including the NAACP pile on Shirley Sherrod
when Fox chose to treat her as a racist based on a censored tape
from a well known charlatan. The rest of the media followed like
puppies behind their mothers! This week as the extreme right has
turned the building of a community center and mosque in a long
vacant building by a moderate Muslim cleric has been allowed to
descend into a macabre follow the leader once again to the bottom
of the stack of humanity. This man is a GOOD GUY! COME ON! But
we have people who are viewed as being better than Fox once again
playing follow the leader. Americans deserve better. The main stream
gets a resounding F on this one too. No imagination and they are

The Fourth Estate gets an F this week
This week the biggest non-story has become the biggest
fiasco for some time.All week Fox News and right wing radio,
have been handing out the pitch fork and torches because about four
to five blocks away from Ground Zero they are building a
Community Center in an old unoccupied Burlington Coat
Factory! To hear Newt Gingrich, you would think it was as
bad as a Nazis putting up a sign next to the Holocaust Museum
in Washington to Rush Limbaugh it was like building a Hindu
temple near Pearl Harbor because he apparently didn't realize
that Japanese People are Shinto! Must be that right wing radio
isn't keeping him in his Oxycontin. They get a D.
So in a brief recap- Fox apparently can't use Mapquest,can't tell
the difference between a sacred ground and inexpensive retail
clothing chain and they can't tell Shinto from Shineola. Of course
Caribou Barbies had her comments about how the President who
handily beat her and John McCain two years ago, was sticking a knife
in the heart of America because he's letting this happen,....who the
HELL does this guy think he is? Haven't we told him enough that he
is a socialistic totalitarian despot? Good thing she has a book coming
out soon to keep us from thinking about real problems like unemployment,
tax cuts and wars that keep us broke.
Instead of sticking to making things up this week, inspite of Rupert's
protestations that they are a REAL journalistic endeavor, It has been
noted that they are taking advantage of the work of their favorite
"Activist Justices of the Supreme Count" by contributing a million
dollars via News Corp to the Republican Governors Association too!
They are BETTING on the "news" that they do? Pete Rose got screwed
if this is allowed. The whole POINT of a "Fourth Estate" is that as a
distant disinterested party that they have the integrity to call the
other estates out when they screw up. This negates the whole thought!
This could take the whole thought right to the sub basement of that
old Burlington Coat Factory forever. That gives Rupert and his pals at
Cluster Fox a resounding ZERO! Goebbels would be so prou

What they SHOULD ask Sarah Palin...
Sarah Palin, ONCE AGAIN.....is playing the role of martyr. In the event that you have been in a drug induced coma, let me fill you in. David Letterman, droll boring comic late at night did a top ten list about Palin in which he claimed that "Palin's daughter was knocked up by ARod". Tasteless? Of course. Appropriate? Hardly, you should note the fact that her first reaction was not about her daughter.
For all of her "Mommy angst", it's interesting that her first reaction was that of dismissal...."Must have been a slow news day". THAT was her first response! You would think that her first concern would be her
DAUGHTER not a stupid put down on being named in a "Top Ten" gag.
It's funny that she would think that a "news day" would be pertainent to a comic on a talk show. I guess she was confused about his job title. It does call to question her motive though. I doubt that this is anything but another of her stupic political posturings.
This isn't about Bristol. It's not about Willow either. It's about her desire to stay in the spotlight.I love the righteous indignation about this being proof of our country's values that are responsible for young ladies having poor self images! COME ON SARAH. If you are so concerned about the self image of young women why did you not raise hell about Laura Ingram referring to Megan McCain as being a "plus sized model"? Why didn't you get on TV and DEMAND and an apology THEN?
If you are so concious about young woment's feelings, I wonder if you
threw up to John McCain his own comment about Chelsea Clinton? Did
you ask HIM what a young impressionable teen would think about being
joked about as being "ugly"? How about THAT for creating a poor self image? What about the insult to Janet Reno and Hillary Clinton too?
But then again, you're new to this role as feminist.
Grow up Sarah and go back to Alaska.I BELIEVE that you ARE still
their Governor. I can't imagine why anybody would vote for an absentee

Who says they can't question an opinion?
Today Andrea Mitchell got a solid F in failing to ask probative questions.
She asked a guest, this blogger missed the name of....sorry....my erro....about
who is winning the "debate about Gitmo....FORMER VP Dick Cheney or CURRENT President Barack Obama"? The guest said....."Why Dick Cheney, of course." COME ON! And what did Andrea Mitchell say?

After months of Republican apologies for the mess that they created in
this administration and he wants to say that Cheney's distortion of the
Geneva Convention and our Constitional laws about cruel and unusual
punishment are not good for the security of our country? He was only
in office for eight years. We survived with the Constitition for well over a hundred years and the Geneva Conventions were signed in 1949. Why
didn't she challenge him on this obvious attempt to shill for a man desperately
trying to prevent his rightful war crimes arrest? And who the HECK said that
it was a DEBATE? A debate involves two persons or teams facing each other with one or more judges to determine who has the most plausible facts on their
side of the arguement.
Last of all.....who the HECK told Cheney that we are compelled to adhere to
the policies that HE set up under the Bush administration? It's not like Bush
didn't chose to ignore arrangements made by the Clinton administration. He
is no longer in office. THANK GOD. He apparently didn't catch on to the limitations for the office of VP when he was one and now he apparently thinks
that this allows him to dictate to whoever occupies the Oval office, which makes you wonder how much he ordered Bush around, possibly. The VP is the tiebreaker of Senate votes and they are the person who attends the funerals of dignitaries. They are NOT elected to run ramshod over others. Somebody needs to explain term limits to Cheney and they need to remind Andrea Mitchell that she is obliged to at least pretend to be objective and interested in considering the truth instead of politicizing the news. Come on....you can do better than this Andrea!
